Hitachi Power Europe GmbH (HPE) is one of the three Hitachi subsidiaries in energy plant engineering. With Hitachi Power Systems (headquartered in Tokyo) and Hitachi Power Systems America (New Jersey) dealing with the Asian and American power plant markets respectively, HPE is responsible within the Group for the markets in Europe, the CIS states, Africa and India. At the same time, HPE supports the global capital expenditure schemes of the electricity generators in Europe. HPE is the Center of Competence within the worldwide operating Hitachi Group for the electrification of lignite / anthracite.
