Our Donges SteelTec GmbH subsidiary is one of the top addresses on the market for heavy steel structures. The company, with head offices in Darmstadt, employs some 350 staff and can look back on practically a 140-year old tradition.

Some 50% of the order volume of Donges SteelTec is in power plant construction and in projects where Hitachi Power Europe is involved as a supplier. This makes HPE less reliant on sub-contractors and it can benefit from the expertise of its Darmstadt steel engineering specialist.

Donges SteelTec's manufacturing range includes steel structures for, for instance, boiler support structures, coal bunkers, power houses and annexes. Other important pillars of the Darmstadt company are bridge building and general steel engineering. In so doing, Donges SteelTec focuses on engineeringly demanding projects, such as the new Rhine bridge or construction of the giant A 380 airbus hangar.
